Travel Surgical Technician - OR/ Peri Operative Float

Hours:

40 weekly, 5x8 hour shifts.
Shifts Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30PM.
On call e/o 2-3 weekdays 3:30pm-7:30am and 48 hours every 2-3 weekends.
7:30 AM Saturday to 7:30 AM Monday. Must be able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes from the time called.
Duration: 13 weeks.
Near Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Our client looking for a full time, day shift (7:00am-3:30pm) Operating Room Tech who is empathetic and has good communication skills. We have a collaborative culture focused on positive outcomes, opportunities for professional growth and so much more. Our OR/Surg Tech duties include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure.
• Maintaining sterile field during case.
• Providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.
• Able to work well under stressful and emergency situations.
• Able to act quickly and accurately.

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties (i.e., GYN, General and Plastics).
• Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., ortho, neuro, ENT, Urology etc.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
