Job Description
Guild Brewing Company, the largest craft brewery in Rhode Island, is currently looking for a passionate and experienced General Manager with exceptional attention to detail and the desire for professional learning and growth. This individual will help open and operate two new locations as part of The Guild Brewing Company’s hospitality network.
The Guild Garden at Plainville Square is a new seasonal beer and food garden in Plainville, Massachusetts, partnering with Jeff Kinney. The projected opening is April 2026. The second location, The Guild PVD, is a year‑around beerhall, beer garden, and coffee house in Downtown Providence. The projected opening is April/May 2026. The work includes planning the opening of both venues, hiring, and training all support staff (FOH and kitchen).
We seek a leader who creates an engaging atmosphere for guests and team members, is accountable, serious about their craft, and passionate about success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in the development and opening of the new ventures
- Oversee full operations including food and bar
- Hire and manage staff, including assistant managers
- Execute a “guest first” experience
- Demonstrate excellent problem‑solving and trouble‑shooting ability
- Collaborate successfully in a team environment
- Provide financial reporting to Managing Partner and Finance Director
- 5+ years general manager experience, including high‑volume full‑service restaurant work
- Ability to manage others in a dynamic work environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high‑volume kitchen
- Proficiency with computer systems including POS, Excel, etc.
- Must be available to support a 10‑hour shift, nights, weekends, and holiday schedules as required
