Position Summary
The Case Manager provides trauma-informed case management, advocacy, crisis intervention, and resource coordination to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and other crimes. This position supports survivors residing in emergency shelter by increasing safety, accessing essential services, overcoming barriers, and achieving long-term stability and independence. The Case Manager works collaboratively with survivors to identify strengths, establish goals, develop safety plans, and connect with community resources while promoting empowerment and self-determination.
Case Management and Advocacy
- Provide survivor-centered, trauma-informed case management, advocacy, crisis intervention, and safety planning services.
- Conduct intake assessments to identify client needs, strengths, risks, and service goals.
- Develop and maintain individualized service plans that address safety, health care, legal needs, financial stability, education, housing stability, and long-term independence.
- Monitor client progress, maintain regular contact, and revise service plans as needed.
- Support clients in developing life skills, increasing self-sufficiency, and achieving individualized goals.
- Provide information, referrals, and advocacy related to community resources and victim services.
- Assist survivors in navigating systems and accessing resources while promoting self-determination and empowerment.
- Provide coverage for shelter operations assigned, including resident support and crisis intervention.
- Staff the Victims of Crime Helpline as required, responding to crisis calls, conducting screenings and intakes, and providing information, referrals, and emotional support.
- Respond appropriately and effectively to emergencies, crises, and incidents affecting client safety and well-being.
- Provide emotional support and advocacy to shelter residents and hotline callers.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records, case notes, service plans, and program documentation.
- Ensure compliance with agency, state, and federal documentation requirements.
- Protect client confidentiality in accordance with agency policies and applicable laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support program operations and agency mission.

Education and Experience
- Minimum of an Associate's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, or a related field required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in case management, advocacy, human services, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, or other forms of victimization strongly preferred.
- Experience providing trauma-informed services preferred.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, victim advocacy principles, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Understanding of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and the impact of trauma.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and life experiences.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are desirable.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass required background checks.
