To cover a long-term absence, the HIB nursing management is looking for a:

The medicine department has 40 hospital beds and is organised into two sectors. Its mission is to ensure the clinical care of all adult patients in the Broye region requiring internal medicine services. The department works closely with intensive care, emergency services, and the CTR of Estavayer-le-Lac. The nursing team consists of about 40 nursing professionals under the supervision of two head nurses.

• Ensure proper care of patients in the units you are responsible for, following a patient-family centred care approach
• Supervise the staff
• Lead and support the team to promote its development and reflective practice
• Plan, organise, coordinate and control the activities of the units
• Provide team coaching focused on clinical support by ensuring adherence to best practices
• Promote and practise interprofessional collaboration
• Participate in the implementation and monitoring of care services and safety measures
• Manage and facilitate various meetings
• Plan and conduct staff appraisal interviews
• Ensure effective upward, downward and horizontal communication with all partners
• Initiate and lead practice analyses within the unit aimed at improving care quality, patient management and work processes.

Holding a university of applied sciences degree in nursing, you have at least 3 years’ experience in hospital care. Experience in surgery as well as proven management experience are advantages. You also have level 1 management training or are willing to undertake it. With an initiative spirit and a strong sense of responsibility, you demonstrate excellent analytical, synthesis, adaptability and communication skills.

Open by nature, you are proactive and have a strong interest in multidisciplinary collaboration and working with the health network. Excellent command of French (spoken and written), as well as computer skills, are essential.

Start date:

1st September 2026 or by agreement for a duration of 6 months
