As a Structural Assembler at TMC Vibration Control, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and subassemblies to precise specifications. You will work closely with the production and engineering teams, ensuring that all products are built to the highest standards of quality and performance. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude, enjoy working with your hands, and have a keen attention to detail, this role offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our production team.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble mechanical components and systems according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Use hand and power tools to perform assembly tasks such as fastening, aligning, and fitting parts together.
- Inspect and test components to ensure they meet specifications and function as intended.
- Follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with the engineering and quality control teams to identify and resolve assembly issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, including the care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including any adjustments or modifications to parts or assemblies.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to streamline assembly processes and enhance productivity.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in electronics, mechanics, or a related field is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments in an assembly environment.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures, including inspecting and testing assembled components.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds as required by the job.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and precision.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and experience with ERP or production tracking systems is a plus.
