** Converge, a subsidiary of Arrow Electronics, is a full service, industry-leading, global supply chain partner with over 40 years of experience in electronics components distribution. We are recruiting to hire an energetic and enthusiastic individual for a Component Quality Inspector I role in Peabody, MA. Reporting to the Component Quality Supervisor, this candidate will be working in a fast-paced electronics distribution center/laboratory and will support the activities of the Converge Trading Business Unit.

The Component Quality Inspector provides ongoing support to our customers by ensuring prompt, accurate and efficient delivery and receipt of all sales and purchase orders. Verifies records on all incoming and outgoing shipments. Data Entry using a PC to process orders and log inventory.
** What You'll Be Doing:
*** Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy of information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and or other records.
* Extract items from staging rack and counts items to verify packaging and shipping accordingly.
* Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
* Performs inbound inspection of electronic components by using basic inspection equipment (microscope), counting and picking/packing equipment.
* Uses excel-based inspection checklists to enter results of visual inspection.
* Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.  Routes items to proper departments.
* Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
* Data entry on the PC to include processing orders and logging in/out inventory.
* Creates shipping labels for outbound shipments.
* Reviews compliance and shipping documents.
* Accepts additional responsibilities as assigned.
** What We Are Looking For:
*** 2 years of relevant work experience.
* Forklift experience.
* Cycle counting.
* Ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
* Must have strong attention to detail for written documentation.
* Ability to follow written directions.
* Basic knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
* Reading, writing, and understanding of English language.
* This position involves standing and or walking for considerable lengths of time.  Bending to floor level is required.  Heavy lifting (up to 50

Lbs) is required.
* Must be comfortable working under high productivity and quality standards.
* You absolutely must be able to work well in a team environment and will also have an opportunity as an individual contributor.
* Impeccable attendance is required.
* Respectful and team contributor (cleanliness and communication)
* Be available to work a flexible work schedule as needed during overtime requirements.
* Previous distribution experience is preferred.
* Prior experience with handling electronic components will be beneficial.
* This position involves sitting and or walking for considerable lengths of time.
* Bending to floor level is required. Heavy lifting may be required.
* This position is carried out in an ESD safe environment, ESD heel straps, wristbands and smock will be supplied and expected to be worn.

* Shift: Mon-Fri 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Will need to be able to work overtime as needed.
