Base Pay Range
Competitive weekly pay starting at $23.50 per hour, increasing to $27.75 per hour after training and certification.
What You Will Do- Be paid to learn and apprentice the Safelite way, through hands‑on and classroom training.
- Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass, including recalibrating automotive safety systems, troubleshooting, and completing diagnostic testing.
- Provide additional services and products.
- Study for and pass testing to become a Safelite‑certified Technician, demonstrating proficiency in installations and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools, and chemicals used throughout the workday.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Competitive weekly pay starting at $23.50 per hour, increasing to $27.75 per hour after training and certification.
- Earn $5 per set of wiper blades added for customer safety.
- A benefits package valued at more than $10,000, including a 401(k) plan with company matching, medical plans, paid time off, holidays, and volunteer days.
- Option to buy additional PTO or sell unused time up to 16 hours.
- Up to $5,250 annually in tuition reimbursement.
- Paid training and all needed tools and resources.
- High School Diploma or GED; equivalent preferred.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license (required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist the body.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Maintains professionalism and passion for providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to safely work outside in a wide variety of weather conditions and extreme temperatures for extended periods.
- Ability to work with chemicals, as applicable per the “Safelite Way of Fitting.”
- Ability to work scheduled days with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customer needs.
- Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools to complete recalibrations and troubleshoot issues.
- Problem‑solving ability, both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret the English language and technical directions.
- Ability to communicate orally (via phone) and in writing (via computer or other electronic means).
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance, adhering to company dress code and PPE policies.
- Willingness and ability to maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure.
