Lead Maintenance Technician
As a Lead Maintenance Technician you oversee ongoing facility maintenance and repairs to keep the company’s multifamily property operating and appearing at its best.
Responsibilities- Address work orders and maintenance issues before they become major problems.
- Utilize technical certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical to handle critical repairs.
- Proactively maintain routine maintenance and cleanliness of the property, including resident amenities such as the pool and clubhouse.
- Hands‑on with day‑to‑day activities, setting the tone and standard for how work gets done.
- Assist other technicians and manage the Make‑Ready board so turnover work stays on schedule.
- Engage with residents and employees in difficult conversations to resolve concerns.
- Apply safety‑first practices, including using EPA certifications for handling substances and training the team on proper safety procedures.
- Five or more years of property maintenance experience, with at least one year supervising others.
- Technical certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical (S1 or S2 HVAC highly desirable).
- High school diploma or GED; 4+ years relevant work experience in property management or hospitality.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time‑management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25‑50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license for occasional vehicle use.
- Own tools and willingness to maintain a personal toolkit.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Full‑time, Monday through Friday schedule with occasional on‑call hours. Health, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. 401(k) plan with auto‑enrollment after 60 days. 40 vacation hours in year one and paid sick leave per state requirements. Paid holidays for eligible employees.
