Senior Principal Electrical Engineer Peachtree, Georgia Area

We are in search of a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the development and implementation of equipment installations within capital projects for a leading manufacturing entity. This role requires an individual who can manage complex projects remotely with a readiness to travel domestically up to 60% of the time, especially at the outset.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the process design development, procurement, installation, and commissioning of equipment within capital projects.
• Lead the continuous improvement of process plant design in partnership with key operational teams.
• Develop initial designs, detailed plans, and layouts for assigned projects, ensuring they transition from feasibility studies to fully realized installations.
• Collaborate with project managers to deliver project components safely, within budget, and on schedule.
• Manage the comprehensive scope of assigned projects from design through to operational handover, including all associated documentation and training materials.
• Regularly update and maintain design best practices in collaboration with the technical office.
• Create and track schedules, ensuring the engineering team adheres to deadlines and performance metrics.
• Participate in project design phases, offering expertise and ensuring adherence to the company's project execution manual and checklists.

Qualifications:

• An Engineering Degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering is required.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering roles related to capital equipment projects, preferably within a continuous process manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in operations and executing multiple projects.
• Expert knowledge in the design of piping systems and industrial manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in reading engineering plan drawings and experience with various types of industrial equipment installations.
• Familiarity with material handling systems and web handling experience is highly desirable.
