About

The Role

The Nursing Manager will lead the clinical operations of our home infusion pharmacy, ensuring exceptional patient care and full regulatory compliance. This role includes supervising a team of infusion nurses, coordinating patient care, and collaborating with physicians, pharmacists, administrative staff, and staffing agencies to optimize treatment plans. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong background in infusion therapy and nursing management.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Leadership & Patient Care:
    Oversee all home infusion nursing services, assess patient conditions, develop care plans, respond to urgent needs, provide skilled nursing in home settings or AIS, educate patients and caregivers.
  • Operational Management:
    Manage nursing services across settings, ensure efficient workflows, quality benchmarks, documentation in compliance with HIPAA, develop policies, monitor budgets.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance:
    Maintain compliance with regulations, lead incident investigations, participate in quality improvement initiatives, foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacists, other professionals, participate in interdisciplinary case reviews.
  • Staff Development & Leadership:
    Recruit, train, mentor staff, evaluate performance, provide feedback, deploy training, manage schedules.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience
  • At least 2 years in a management or leadership role
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards
  • Infusion background within AIC or AIS environments
  • Experience managing large nursing teams and complex operations
Preferred Qualifications (but Not Required)
  • Master’s degree in nursing (MSN)
  • Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI)
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years nursing experience
  • At least 2 years leadership role
  • Home infusion or specialty pharmacy experience
  • Active RN license in the state of employment
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of IV therapy, vascular access, infusion pumps
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational skills
  • Collaborative teamwork
  • Proficiency in EMR and healthcare software
  • Mentoring and guiding nursing teams
  • Understanding of regulations and accreditation
  • Budgeting and resource allocation skills
