A successful co-op will provide the student with supervised practice at the project site or in the office in the continuing daily operations of construction . As a co-op you are part of the project team and will be given training and tasks that are important and impactful to our projects' success.
ResponsibilitiesA Labor Foreman will be responsible for supervising laborers while directing and coordinating work performed by subcontractors at the discretion of the Project Superintendent.
The primary expectation of a Project Engineer (PE) is to be a LEARNER! This applies equally to the project administration, field activities , and physical nature of construction to begin developing leadership skills. This position and expectations to advance will be based on mastering these responsibilities. A PE is expected to embody the Fortune-Johnson (F-J) Culture and exhibit a commitment to elevating their industry knowledge, all while actively pursuing avenues for professional development and advancement within the company.
The Project Manager assumes administrative oversight of the project and serves as the primary liaison with clients.
The Project Superintendent oversees field operations, ensuring adherence to schedule, quality, cost, and safety.
The Estimator prepares detailed estimates for the project based on construction drawings and specifications , and ensure estimates, bids, and GMP's are complete, accurate , and well supported by recent pricing data and subcontractor input.
The Scheduler is responsible for preparing project schedules, site logistics planning, and regular monitoring, tracking, and updating the project schedule . The Scheduler supports the project in all aspects of scheduling and scheduling analysis.
