Position Title: Application Engineer, Power Distribution

Responsibilities
  • Respond to requests for proposals (RFPs, RFQs, and other bid requests) by drafting and submitting bids.
  • Follow up on opportunities to confirm if they have been won, lost, or abandoned.
  • Work together with teams from inside the organization to produce project plans, budgets, and time frames.
  • Engage in commercial contract negotiations with both customers and suppliers.
  • Keep correct records of all contracts, bids, and proposals.
  • Create and modify project drawings and schematics using AutoCAD.
  • Monitor sector trends and competitor actions to spot opportunities and risks.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conventions, and other events to build connections with prospective customers.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or 4 years of equivalent engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience preparing proposals and bidding on projects.
  • Basic technical knowledge of electrical distribution products and systems.
  • Understanding of project management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Fundamental financial and commercial aptitude.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice as needed.
  • Eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship required now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Analytical and creative problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL, and NEMA standards for low‑voltage equipment.
  • Experience with low‑voltage switch gear in data center environments.
  • Experience evaluating single‑line diagrams, PLC schemes, and communication network diagrams.

Benefits Information

The pay range for this position is  102,459 -  175,644. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
