Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Sr. Supply Demand Planner (Finance) to lead and participate in the SIOP planning process, leveraging large data sets to compute demand and supply plans that meet customer demand and maintain inventory targets. The role drives cross‑functional collaboration and uses forecasting models to achieve high accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and participate in cross‑functional SIOP process meetings to develop best‑in‑class demand and supply plans.
- Facilitate collaboration with Marketing, Sales Operations, Finance to develop monthly/quarterly forecasts.
- Partner with NPI/Engineering/Marketing teams to understand product lifecycle, buffer strategy, and plan for new product launches and end‑of‑life.
- Review and improve statistical forecasting models for optimal demand forecast accuracy.
- Analyze historical data and product segmentation for modifications to forecasts.
- Manage safety stock and inventory targets across regions and plants.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, planning, regulatory, and facilities teams on buffer strategies and regulatory restrictions.
- Apply capacity modeling for lines, shifts, efficiencies, and material lead times.
- Develop build plans within capacity and material constraints, working with Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, and Supply Chain.
- Conduct scenario planning for demand and supply, articulating options and impact.
- Represent product families and present relevant data and charts in SIOP meetings.
- Load plans to enable manufacturing and supply chain execution.
- Monitor performance against forecast, drive corrective actions, and manage key performance indicators such as accuracy and backorder.
- Support additional planning activities, including long‑range planning and excess & obsolete reduction.
- Drive improvements to forecast accuracy, first‑pass fill rate, and inventory attainment through root‑cause analysis.
- Lead projects to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Troubleshoot MPS/MRP issues, participate in key projects and go‑live activities.
- Travel
- 10–25% domestic/international; ability to travel to Sunnyvale for training and quarterly SIOP meetings.

- MS/MBA with a minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, operations research, finance, or related fields.
- BS with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, operations research, finance, IE, or engineering.
- Strong analytical rigor and data/problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in supply chain or planning domain.
- Product lifecycle management: new product introduction and end‑of‑sale.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with advanced planning applications or ERP systems for scalable processes.
- Leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills to share insights and gain consensus.
Intuitive Surgical may require current proof of vaccination against certain diseases, including COVID‑19.

Base Compensation Range Region 1: $132,300 USD – $190,300 USD
Base Compensation Range Region 2: $112,400 USD – $161,800 USD
