JOB SUMMARY:

The Benefits Manager role is responsible for the overall administration of all employee benefits and related processes for corporate and field operations across the organization. Ensure that all benefits programs are effective, compliant and align to the company’s growth strategy and overall business objectives. Develop, recommend and implement new and improved programs and initiatives.

This is a hybrid role with the option to work up to 2 days/week remote.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design and administer all employee benefits programs and related processes. Proactively assess benefits programs on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance to all state and local benefits regulations.
  • Lead the development, planning and communication around the annual open enrollment process. Present to Senior Leadership on recommended offerings.
  • Serve as the main point of contact/liaison for vendors, broker, third party administrators and other partners to ensure that systems are configured to provide accurate benefits data.
  • Manage reconciliation and auditing initiatives and processes (e.g., 401k audit, 5500 filing, ACA, invoices).
  • Develop and maintain system reports required for benefit functions. Monitor discrepancies and other issues.
  • Enhance visibility in efficacy of benefits programs.
  • Educate staff and answer questions on all benefits matters including health, dental and vision insurance, 401K, LOAs/FMLA and disability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in related employee benefits experience with at least 2 years of direct experience in benefits administration at the management level.
  • Prior HCM experience.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) a plus.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of benefits laws and regulations.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively within a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Acts with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

Physical requirements:

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or other office equipment, walking within facilities and offices and lifting up to 10 pounds, as needed.
