Position SummaryRegional General Manager – Atlanta, GA (Primary) / Chattanooga, TN.
Würth Wood Group (WWG) is implementing a new General Manager structure to strengthen leadership, accountability, and growth across our branches. This newly created Regional General Manager role will be based at our Atlanta branch (5075 Buford Hwy, Norcross, GA 30071) and will also oversee our Chattanooga operation (234 Direct Connection Dr., Rossville, GA 30741). Atlanta is a high‑opportunity, high‑upside market that requires a strong, decisive leader who can bring structure, discipline, and momentum.
Chattanooga is a well‑run, profitable branch that simply needs continued alignment with our GM model. This role requires significant sales field travel (65–75%), with remaining time focused on branch leadership, operations alignment, and strategic execution.
You will drive sales growth, build and develop high‑performing teams, elevate operational standards, and act as the conductor who synchronizes Sales and Operations into one high‑functioning unit.
- Lead, coach, and hold accountable Territory Sales Managers and Operations Managers across both branches.
- Build the team, develop the team, and drive a winning culture rooted in high expectations and continuous improvement.
- Provide hands‑on leadership, stepping into operational or sales activities when needed to understand issues firsthand and resolve them quickly.
- Ensure all employees understand weekly performance metrics, expectations, and goals.
- Conduct extensive sales field travel (65–75%) to support sales development, customer engagement, and territory expansion.
- Drive growth in an untapped Atlanta market with massive potential, focusing heavily on new customer acquisition and territory performance.
- Partner with Operations Managers to rebuild, stabilize, and elevate operational performance in Atlanta.
- Maintain and enforce clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environments.
- Implement and oversee inventory control, logistics improvements, and continuous operational efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to WWG’s Operations Manual, company policies, and DOT/Motor Carrier Safety guidelines.
- Maintain weekly communication of key branch metrics to all staff.
- Work cross‑functionally with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Leadership.
- Foster a team‑first environment across all departments and branches.
- Proven experience managing sales teams and driving territory growth.
- Proven experience overseeing high‑volume warehouse operations and wholesale distribution.
- Experience correcting or rebuilding underperforming teams or operational structures.
- Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead with accountability while remaining collaborative.
- High ownership mentality with the ability to self‑direct.
- MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Preferred: WMS, GEO TAB, LYTX, EPOD, Agility/Agility Mobile App.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain.
- Project management ability, including expense control.
- Willingness to travel 65–75% as business needs dictate.
- Sales growth within assigned territories.

- Safety compliance metrics and incident reduction.
