Our Depot Operation supports a host of services including Industrial and Heavy Equipment storage, Modification and Repair work in our maintenance shops, container sales and leasing, Port logistics and support, and much more.

This role will support the Southeast and Gulf location in the US; the right candidate will be located within easily commutable distance to any of our Depots in the Southeast/Gulf region. This role is on‑site full time with travel up 50% of the time to visit the assigned Depot sites.

The Depot General Manager is responsible for high level oversight of the Depot locations within the assigned region. This includes ensuring the safety, efficiency, and quality of services related to the inspection, repair, maintenance, and storage of equipment such as containers, chassis, refrigerated containers, gensets, and more. This role also provides oversight to equipment sales and the development of a high‑performing team dedicated to delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers.

• Provide day‑to‑day expertise to support operations to ensure a safe and productive workplace in line with company standards and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  , as well as corporate policies and procedures related to depot operations.
• operational activities and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure they remain within acceptable standards.
• Meet customer needs and commitments by effectively managing depot activities and maintaining high service quality.
• Assist with the development of goals and objectives
  for the depot operation, focusing on production, profitability, safety, and compliance, in alignment with regional and business unit goals.
• Monitor employee performance, provide constructive feedback
  , and take appropriate action as necessary to maintain a productive workforce.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to ensure continued business and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications
:

• Proven experience in depot operations management
  , logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on employee development and fostering a positive workplace culture.
• In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and industry regulations for depot operations.
• Strong ability to monitor and analyze operational performance
  , including KPIs, and make data‑driven decisions to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills, with the ability to manage both internal and external customer expectations effectively.
• Solid understanding of equipment maintenance and repair processes (containers, chassis, refrigerated containers, gensets, etc.).
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to resolve operational challenges in a timely manner.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, external partners, and union representatives.
• Must pass a pre‑employment background verification, physical and drug screening.
• Open availability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing Depot/Railyard operations or similar logistical operations.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and safety protocols.
• Strong coaching and team development skills.

• The role involves working Indoors/outdoors in a Depot environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
• The position requires managing operational challenges and overseeing staff in an active and fast‑paced setting.
