Senior Software Engineer - SNAP

The primary role of Engineering function within Product Development team is to create specifications and designs for new products or improvements and enhancements to existing products. Works closely with customers, developers and other stakeholders to understand and define customer needs in these designs. Features are aligned to a timetable and areas of responsibility. Developers may solicit customers for feedback regarding product usability and desired future enhancements.

Software Engineers who design, write and test code for the product should be matched in the either Software Engineering Applications or Systems. Product developers who specialize in hardware systems should be matched to Hardware Engineering.

** Senior Software Engineer
** to join the Brightree Resupply engineering team. This role plays a critical part in scaling the SNAP product to broader market, supporting key and highly prioritized initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong technologist with an ownership mindset who takes pride in designing scalable system architectures and driving innovation. You are a collaborative team player, eager to work across disciplines, mentor junior developers, and deliver high-quality, resilient, and high-scale distributed systems that have a direct impact on our customers.

** Key Responsibilities
** Take an active role in mentoring junior engineers, sharing technical expertise, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
** Required Qualifications & Experience
** 5+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably using Microsoft technologies in a web-based, high-traffic system. Strong architectural design skills, with experience building scalable, distributed, and event-driven systems. Proficiency in MS SQL Server (T-SQL/SQL) in a high-volume transaction environment.
4+ years of experience developing and operating applications in AWS, with a strong understanding of key AWS services and tools.
3+ years of experience developing front-end applications using React or React Native or other front-end framework

Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and zero-downtime deployments. Production experience with event-driven architectures or message-broker solutions (e.g., Kafka, Rabbit

MQ). Strong experience in source code versioning, configuration management, and automated build pipelines.
** Preferred Skills & Experience
** Experience
** decomposing monolithic applications
** into smaller, autonomous services. Knowledge of
** Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
** and best practices for designing scalable services. Hands-on experience with
** Docker containerization
** in production environments. Familiarity with
** Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks**. Healthcare or HME industry experience will be a plus.
