Leidos is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our Field Service Network Administration team. This position involves supporting network installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting outages in secure environments. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of networking experience, a strong understanding of OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols, and the ability to work independently in field service scenarios.
Responsibilities- Network Design & Deployment:
Configure and implement advanced routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP) for optimal performance; install and maintain routers, switches, and other hardware at field locations. - Upgrades & Optimization:
Perform network upgrades, firmware updates, and apply patches to maintain security and efficiency; optimize routing configurations for scalability and reliability. - Troubleshooting & Incident Response:
Diagnose and resolve complex network outages and performance issues; provide on-site and remote support for mission‑critical operations. - Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain detailed network diagrams and configuration documentation; ensure compliance with DoD and Leidos security standards.
Required:
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
- Minimum 4 years of professional networking experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols.
- CCNA (or higher) certification or a relevant degree in Networking, IT, or Computer Science.
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, routing, and switching concepts.
Preferred:
- CCNP or equivalent advanced networking certification.
- Experience in field service or remote site support.
- Familiarity with DoD networking standards and secure environments.
Contract position based out of Pearl Harbor, HI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.68 - $45.68 per hour.
