Work hours:

40 hours per week

A Security Assistant is required to provide security administrative support services, including tracking, processing security requests, managing files, preparing forms/reports, and supporting security programs for the office.

• Assist in processing daily local agency checks, visit requests, and security clearance issues supporting GWOT, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Maintain Security Clearance folders daily, ensuring proper filing and action on correspondence from OPM.
• Keep an updated list of command members with active Security Clearances daily.
• Assist in processing Common Access Card requests and Base Access Requests for visitors daily.
• Complete daily tasks using JPAS and eQip, as permitted.
• Have experience with fingerprinting equipment, JPAS, and other security systems.
• Attend mandatory training sessions, including process improvement meetings, safety stand-downs, IT upgrades, and annual training.
• Understand and assist in creating and distributing local Command Badging System badges.

• High school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of office experience, including experience with JPAS/DISS and Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in English with good communication skills.
• In good standing, with no sanctions or suspensions by the Federal Government.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Military Training Network, with certification card displaying the emblem; web-based classes are not acceptable.

Salary: $22.00 - $26.93 per hour
