Commerical Electrical Foreman

Job Description

Superior Electrical and Plumbing Inc. specializes in commercial construction and tenant improvement projects throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

We are seeking an Electrical Foreman responsible for planning and supervising commercial electrical installations under the direction of Project Management. As a Foreman, you will spend part of your shift working with tools while also overseeing journeymen and apprentices to ensure quality, safety, and productivity are maintained within project deadlines. This position requires night shifts and flexibility to travel to neighboring islands as needed.

• Supervise the commercial production of electrical journeymen and apprentices
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and plans; assign and lay out work accordingly
• Conduct tool-box talks and provide training to apprentices and journeymen
• Install commercial electrical equipment and fixtures
• Install various types of conduit, raceway, and cable tray systems
• Troubleshoot motor control systems
• Install refrigeration motor controls, Ansul systems, and EMS
• Work in confined spaces when required
• Perform work from ladders, man lifts, and / or in inclement weather
• Communicate jobsite progress with project managers and safety teams
• Demonstrate and enforce quality installations and jobsite safety standard

• Pay range is $35 to $50 per hour
• Based on experience, licensing and certifications

• Six or more years of experience as a commercial electrical journeyman, including a minimum of two years as a foreman, preferably in retail construction projects
• Above average troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle background check
• Strong English literacy skills required to effectively communicate with management through written and verbal communication
• Availability to work night shifts and travel as needed
