PHYSICIAN OB-GYN POSITION SUMMARY

Provides comprehensive healthcare management including treatment to female patients

PHYSICIAN OB-GYN ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Obtain medical histories and conduct medical assessments and clinical exams with a focus on obstetrics and gynecology
• Perform and/or order appropriate diagnostic tests to diagnose disorders and provide treatment.
• Prescribe appropriate medications.
• Educate patients about disease, disease prevention, and recommend medications or management.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Provide antenatal and post-partum medical care during pregnancy and childbirth.
• Good clinical knowledge base and familiarity with evidence-based practices.
• Follows relevant medical policies and procedures

PHYSICIAN OB-GYN
REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited medical school
• Fully licensed as a doctor of medicine to practice medicine in Mississippi
• Board certified obstetrician-gynecologist
• The medical license shall have no restrictions and prior action by the medical licensing authority shall be disclosed
• Current Controlled Drug Substance license and DEA license
