Plant Controller

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Plant Controller to support financial operations, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting accuracy across the business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys working closely with both finance and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Support the VP of Finance with financial policies, procedures, and controls
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations and assist with month-end/year-end close
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to leadership
  • Coordinate and manage audits with external auditors and internal teams
  • Oversee AP/AR processes ensuring timely and accurate posting
  • Audit and monitor inventory control processes for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Prepare detailed inventory reports and reconcile physical counts
  • Ensure proper inventory valuation (FIFO, LIFO, etc.) in line with GAAP
  • Leverage the ERP system to improve financial and operational efficiency
  • Maintain accounting system data integrity
  • Support financial analysis, reporting, and special projects
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA/CMA preferred
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Acumatica, SAP, Quick Books, Dynamics, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
