Plant ControllerA growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Plant Controller to support financial operations, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting accuracy across the business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys working closely with both finance and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support the VP of Finance with financial policies, procedures, and controls
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and assist with month-end/year-end close
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to leadership
- Coordinate and manage audits with external auditors and internal teams
- Oversee AP/AR processes ensuring timely and accurate posting
- Audit and monitor inventory control processes for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Prepare detailed inventory reports and reconcile physical counts
- Ensure proper inventory valuation (FIFO, LIFO, etc.) in line with GAAP
- Leverage the ERP system to improve financial and operational efficiency
- Maintain accounting system data integrity
- Support financial analysis, reporting, and special projects
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA/CMA preferred
- 3–5 years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Acumatica, SAP, Quick Books, Dynamics, etc.)
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset and strong attention to detail
