The MRI Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative. The role involves performing magnetic resonance images and other radiographic imaging with basic departmental functions and goals.

• Be knowledgeable in MRI screening and safety, biomedical implants, cryogen safety, emergency procedures, climate control, and magnetic shielding.
• Demonstrate competency in date acquisition and processing.
• Maintain proper equipment disinfection between patients.
• Perform contrast injections correctly.
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients, including vital signs, physical signs, sedated patients, and claustrophobic patients.
• Respond to emergencies and contrast reactions, including cardiac/respiratory arrest.
• Execute pulse sequences, spin echo, conventional spin echo, fast spin echo (FSE) STIR, FLAIR, Gradient recalled echo (GRE), echo planar imaging (EPI), and other advanced techniques.
• Manipulate data, k‑space mapping, Fourier transformation, 3‑D post‑processing, maximum intensity projection (MIP), and cardiac analysis.
• Perform diffusion, perfusion, spectroscopy, and MRI imaging.
• Adopt universal precautions and other appropriate safety measures.

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Technology or related field.
• Current ARRT(R)(MRI) or ARMRIT registry required.
• Current BCLS certification required.
• At least two years of Radiological Technology experience in this field.
