Overview:
Works collaboratively as a senior member of the Business Intelligence & Reporting team under the direction of KSC Application Technology Leadership. Supports, develops, and maintains business intelligence (BI), data warehousing, and reporting systems. Acts as a project lead or team member on multi-team projects and uses an advanced skill set to develop, test, troubleshoot, and support BI and reporting-related projects and solutions.
Mentors others learning essential and advanced BI and/or reporting skills.
Location/Work Arrangement:
You may have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. For hires in Minneapolis or Washington, D.C., a minimum of four in-office days per week is required.
Responsibilities:
- Support, develop, and maintain BI, data warehousing, and reporting systems
- Act as project lead or team member on multi-team BI/DW projects
- Develop, test, troubleshoot, and support BI and reporting-related solutions
- Mentor colleagues in essential and advanced BI/reporting skills
Required Qualifications:
Indicate areas where you have significant experience and technical knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience in data warehouse/BI development; experience as BI/DW architect or lead in at least one BI/DW initiative/project; senior-level member of BI/DW initiatives and projects
- Experience with Tools and Platforms: MS SQL Database Services / Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
- MS SQL Analysis Services (SSAS)
- MS SQL Reporting Services (SSRS)
- MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Business Objects / Crystal Reports
- Cognos
- Oracle BI
- Micro Strategy
- Other BI/DW Toolsets

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree
- Advanced certifications (MS SQL-related, Crystal Reports-related, vendor-specific)
- Experience in healthcare industry, large-scale data warehousing, and/or Epic Systems Clarity
- Proven communication and problem-solving skills; computer literate
- Remote workers must adhere to United Health Group's Telecommuter Policy
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay is based on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Salary range for this role is $58,800 to $105,000 annually for full-time employment. Benefits include a comprehensive package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (eligibility rules apply). Salary and benefits subject to applicable laws and company policies.
