Assembler, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Job Description

2nd shift

Assemblers are responsible for the assembly, maintenance, testing, and refurbishment of downhole cementing

tools and related equipment used in the oil and gas industry. This role requires the ability to read technical

drawings, follow assembly procedures, inspect components for quality and accuracy, and utilize a variety of hand,

pneumatic, and power tools. The Assembler plays a critical role in ensuring all equipment meets company quality

standards and meets customer requirements before deployment to the field.

Job

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform all work safely and in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.

• Assemble, disassemble, repair, and maintain downhole cementing tools and related oilfield equipment.

• Read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, engineering specifications, and bills of

materials.

• Inspect components and finished assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and

specifications.

• Conduct pressure testing, function testing, and operational checks on completed assemblies as required.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and report defective, damaged, or non-conforming components.

• Prepare, package, and stage equipment for shipment according to project requirements and packing lists.

• Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and material organization.

• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and testing records as required.

• Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment (training/certification

provided as required).

• Assist with shop organization, housekeeping, preventive maintenance, and facility upkeep.

• Support the refurbishment and recertification of tools returned from field operations.

• Work closely with supervisors, quality personnel, and other team members to meet production schedules

and customer deadlines.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with tools and equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions.

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify defective components.

• Forklift and material handling equipment experience preferred.

• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or industrial shop environment.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Ability to lift 30 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting throughout the

workday.

Education:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Experience:

• Less than 1 year of experience.
