Sales Representative, Business Development
Cultivate existing relationships, but must also build new relationships.
Ultimately, s/he must exhibit business savvy and relationship building skills in order to help elevate Company to the next level.
Work closely with the outside sales organization as well as other functions including Operations and Finance.
- Responsible for fast pace, same day quoting and sales order entry to support customer requirements
- Responsible for master scheduling and workload balancing across the plant
- Managing customer relationships and providing voice of customer into the operation
- Facilitate relationship between Customers and will drive annual sales growth to meet sales and financial targets.
- Strong communication and teamwork with Outside Sales Team and other Inside Sales team.
- Create customer profiles for assigned account base.
- Set budgets and plans by account and track progress.
- Develop understanding of customer programs, priorities, and purchase decision making process.
- Leverage existing business to expand into other divisions/areas.
- Accountability for quarterly account reviews and measure performance to assigned goals.
- Implement (along with other groups) new strategies and direction to increase sales and efficiencies.
- Accountable for company goals to consistently deliver expanded sales and growing profitability.
strong inside sales experience and production/master scheduling background, ideally within Oil and Gas Industry.
self-starter with a proven track record of success in substantially growing sales through execution of a disciplined strategy, growing existing relationships, and penetrating new accounts.
understands how to sell through the distribution channel with proven success around building new relationships within that channel.

Required Skills and Experiences Include:
- BS/BA Degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
- Good reasoning abilities; sound judgment; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid work ethics and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. A team player.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiations skills.
- Highly organized and ability to multi-task.
- Analytical skills – ability to understand the “why” behind the results. A quick learner.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
Desired Experience and Training:
- 7 – 10 years of experience in sales and business development.
- Experience in heavy manufacturing, oil & gas, power, chemical, and general commercial construction fields.
- Proven record of strategic planning and sales/lead generation leading to revenues.
- Experience in reading and understanding engineered specifications and quoting per specifications.
