FIRE ALARM APPRENTICE - TRAVELING
Join Allied Fire Protection as a Fire Alarm Apprentice. This role is traveling within the U.S., requiring up to 80% travel.
Job Responsibilities- Assist the foreman in installing fire alarm systems.
- Service fire alarm systems and associated fire protection components.
- Maintain documentation of work performed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Move and carry equipment/tools up to 75 lbs, and perform tasks in unusual or difficult positions.
- Distribute material and accessories from truck to the designated lay‑down area.
- Organize lay‑down areas and clean up job site and tools.
- Understand Allied Fire Protection’s safety programs and safety documentation.
- Enroll in and progress through the AFSA Apprenticeship Program as a sprinkler apprentice.
- Travel frequently and stay for several weeks at a time per project needs.
- Per diem and lodging are provided per company policy.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to fly are required.
- High School diploma or GED preferred but not required; or related experience/app training.
- Sprinkler Apprentices enrolled in AFSA’s Apprenticeship Program.
- No direct fire protection experience required.
- Experience in electrical or fire alarm installation preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Action-oriented and takes initiative.

- Frequently lift loads up to 75 lbs; occasionally assist with lifting loads >75 lbs.
- Use hands, fingers, and tools; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.

- Use ladders or scaffolds, personal fall arrest systems.
- Vision: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
