Maintenance Technician - Fulltime

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide variety of activities such as repairs and performing preventative maintenance, and adjustments on our fleet trailers and vehicles. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job, as the ideal candidate will be a problem solver and have solid mechanical knowledge.

• Perform repairs, such as fixing broken locks, signs, plumbing on trailers, minor electrical repairs, and small carpentry tasks, etc.
• Replace worn-out parts on easily accessible, simple components
• Perform routine checks and adjustments to machinery or trailers
• Install necessary appliances and equipment as needed
• Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, replacing DC converters, installing tankless water heaters, lubricate moving parts of equipment
• Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems
• Test the functionality of the mobile asset’s safety systems
• Assist more experienced technicians with complex tasks
• Reports any issues to our Fleet Manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress

• 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience high school diploma or equivalent required
• Basic working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Mechanical experience around trailers and air brake systems preferred
• Experience working with tools, including hand tools and electrical power tools
• Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required and must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
• Passion for creative problem-solving
• Strong work ethic with a safety mindset
• Must have clean driving record (driving company vehicles required)
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at a time regularly
• Must be able to climb a ladder and work from heights with proper safety equipment
• Must be able to be on feet 8 hours a day and be able to walk on a variety of surfaces
• Must be able to work overtime, must be able to travel to jobsites nationwide
