Retail Sales Associate- 3746 role at First Cash

Compensation: $14.00 to $18.00 per hour. Earned commission on transactions is available; associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which may add to the hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and assists customers with sales, loans, and other transactions, on both lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves working with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The position offers hourly pay plus commission based on productivity.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform open/close procedures as needed.
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions according to policies and procedures.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; contribute to a positive customer experience.
• Complete assigned training and perform other duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; capable of standing, walking, bending, climbing, etc.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
• Must be 18 years or older;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong customer service orientation, teamwork, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Cash handling experience preferred; computer literacy and POS systems experience required.
• Ability to work at multiple locations and flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on personal gross profit. Additional details provided during interview.
