Pay: Competitive daily rate (MPS equivalent)

We are working with a high-performing secondary school in Southwark to recruit a Teacher of Design & Art for a long-term maternity cover, starting March 2026 and running through to the end of the academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a creative and forward-thinking Design & Art department within a supportive and ambitious school community.

The role will involve:

• Teaching Design & Art across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable)

• Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons

• Assessing, marking and tracking student progress in line with school policies

• Contributing to a creative, interdisciplinary curriculum

• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching Design & Art in a secondary school setting

• Confidence delivering GCSE content (A Level experience desirable)

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
