The Position – Specialist Base Teacher
The school is seeking an experienced and dedicated Specialist Base Teacher to lead their ASD provision from September 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a highly structured, adapted curriculum to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional needs are met. As a Specialist Base Teacher, you will plan and deliver personalised learning programmes tailored to pupils’ EHCP targets.
You are required to implement effective ASD strategies and structured approaches within the classroom. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of autism-specific strategies and experience working within a specialist or SEN setting. A calm, nurturing approach alongside strong behaviour management skills is essential.
