Are you an experienced HLTA looking for a rewarding role in a specialist secondary setting?

SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive secondary special educational needs (SEN) school for students with mental health needs in Southwark from September.

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people with additional needs achieve their full potential.

The Role

As an HLTA, you will:

Deliver pre-planned lessons and interventions across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
Support students with a range of special educational needs, including mental health needs.
Work closely with teachers and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality learning experiences.
Lead small group and one-to-one sessions to boost student progress and confidence.
Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working at HLTA level.
Has experience supporting pupils with special educational needs, ideally in a secondary school setting.
Has a subject specialism or strong background in English, Maths or Science.
Is confident leading learning independently and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
Is patient, resilient and committed to making a positive impact on young people's lives.
