Neighbourhood Housing Officer – £27 per hour (Umbrella) – Full-Time Contract

A local authority is seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Housing Officer for a full-time contract role paying £27 per hour (Umbrella).

This Neighbourhood Housing Officer opportunity offers an immediate start and the chance to manage your own housing patch within a supportive team.

Job Summary The Neighbourhood Housing Officer will deliver a proactive and resident-focused housing management service across estates and neighbourhoods.

As a Neighbourhood Housing Officer, you will be responsible for tenancy sustainment, ASB management, estate inspections and early intervention support to residents. You will act as the key local contact for tenants and stakeholders, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and in line with housing legislation.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a designated housing patch as a Neighbourhood Housing Officer
Investigate and resolve anti-social behaviour and nuisance cases
Carry out regular estate and block inspections
Support vulnerable residents and make safeguarding referrals where required
Take proportionate tenancy enforcement action
Work collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies
Maintain accurate records and case notes

Essential Experience
Proven experience working as a Neighbourhood Housing Officer
Strong housing management and tenancy enforcement knowledge
Experience managing ASB cases
Understanding of safeguarding and supporting vulnerable tenants
Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently

Rate: £27 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Length: 3–6 months
