Door Supervisor

Location: Southwark

Our client, a highly regarded operator within the premium hospitality and events sector, is looking for a professional and vigilant Door Supervisor to join their venue security team. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and secure environment while delivering excellent customer service.

This is a direct-hire position with a venue that values its security personnel and offers consistent hours, a supportive team environment, and clear operational protocols.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the safe and orderly entry and exit of patrons, verifying age and checking credentials where required.

* Monitor crowd behavior and proactively identify potential risks or disturbances within the venue.

* De-escalate conflicts calmly and professionally, utilizing physical intervention only as a last resort and in accordance with SIA guidelines.

* Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure fire exits, walkways, and restricted areas remain secure.

* Collaborate closely with venue management, bar staff, and local authorities to ensure compliance with licensing laws and safety regulations.

* Accurately record and report any incidents, accidents, or refusals of entry in the site logbook.

Requirements

* Must hold a valid and current SIA Door Supervisor Licence.

* Proven experience working in a similar front-line security role within hospitality, nightlife, or events.

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and authority.

* A firm understanding of UK licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and emergency procedures.

* Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.

* First Aid certification is highly desirable
