Overview

Responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of water treatment systems supporting a data center facility. This position will work with potable water, wastewater, and chemical treatment systems to ensure water quality, system reliability, and safe operation of facility water systems.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor potable water and wastewater treatment systems.

  • Perform routine water sampling, testing, and water quality checks.

  • Monitor and adjust chemical treatment and chemical dosing systems.

  • Monitor system readings, pressures, flow rates, levels, and other operating conditions.

  • Inspect pumps, valves, piping, filtration systems, tanks, and related water treatment equipment.

  • Identify abnormal operating conditions and assist with troubleshooting equipment or process issues.

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on water treatment equipment.

  • Handle and store treatment chemicals in accordance with established safety procedures.

  • Maintain accurate operating logs, treatment records, chemical usage records, and inspection documentation.

  • Respond to alarms and system issues to help maintain continuous facility operations.

  • Follow all environmental, health, safety, and facility procedures.

  • Coordinate with maintenance, facilities, and operations personnel as needed.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in potable water treatment, wastewater treatment, or industrial water treatment required.

  • Experience with chemical treatment processes and chemical dosing strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of water treatment equipment such as pumps, valves, filters, tanks, piping, and chemical feed systems.

  • Ability to perform basic water quality testing and understand treatment parameters.

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment and process issues.

  • Experience in a municipal water facility, wastewater facility, industrial plant, manufacturing facility, power generation facility, chemical facility, or similar environment is preferred.

  • Ability to work safely around water treatment chemicals and industrial equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately maintain operating records.
