Job summary
We are looking for a suitably‑experienced and motivated person to join our team as a receptionist and administrative support at the Amber Valley CMHT reception, first floor, Town Hall, Ripley.
The role is 22.5 hours per week, Monday‑Wednesday 09:00‑17:00, and will involve supporting services on the site and other DHCFT teams that use the building.
Key responsibilities- Deliver a high‑quality front‑of‑house reception and administrative support service.
- Receive and manage telephone calls, emails and visitors.
- Use Electronic Patient Records (Systm One) to type and update patient information.
- Lead room booking arrangements within the building.
- Support other administrators in the adult Community team.
- Maintain the day‑to‑day running of the building.
- Prioritise and manage conflicting workload demands.
- Non‑judgemental, positive attitude towards service users and carers.
- Accurate data entry and experience using Microsoft Office packages.
- Telephone enquiry management experience.
- Good spelling and grammatical accuracy.
- Typing to RSA I standard (or demonstrable equivalent).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team working ability.
- Ability to prioritise and meet standards within defined time limits.
- Experience using Excel and spreadsheets.
- OCR/RSA I or equivalent typing qualification (or passing a typing test).
- GCSE English Grade C or equivalent (evidence required).
- ECDL/CLAIT/other IT qualification or equivalent experience.
- Previous clerical/administrative experience.
- Front‑of‑house experience.
- Clinical team experience.
- Use of electronic patient records (Systm One).
- NHS experience.
- Mental health experience.
- Empathy.
