Retail Assistant

Reports to: Retail Manager
Location: Cairngorm Mountain

The Retail Assistant plays a vital role in our store, responsible for helping customers and ensuring a smooth shopping experience to Cairngorm customers.

The retail assistant is to provide excellent customer service, support sales, and maintain an organized and aesthetic store environment. They help customers find products, process transactions, and ensure a positive shopping experience.

• £12.98 (18+ years).

• To follow the opening and closing procedures
• Use of ICR till system for cash handling and card payments
• To advise and assist customers to maximise retail sales
• To maintain stock levels and displays for maximum effect
• To assist with the physical movement, storage, and display of merchandise
• To assist with the receipt of goods in accordance with company procedures
• To ensure all merchandise is coded and priced correctly
• To carry out stocktaking duties as required
• Regular housekeeping to ensure a clean and shoppable environment for customers
• To be aware of all Retail Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures, risk assessments and company policies
• To identify personal development needs in line with personal and organisational objectives

The role would suit someone who has had experience in a visitor attraction including winter snow sports; as well as those with general retail experience. Demonstrate good people skills, both customer facing and within your team. The role will require a degree of flexible working to meet the business needs, 7-day operation and events outwith normal operating hours.

• Previous retail and cash handling experience
• Experience in a fast-paced customer focused environment

Cairngorm Mountain (Scotland) Ltd. is a major tourist hub all year round with a range of unique activities on offer.
