Urgent Care Physician

Sun River Health is looking to hire an accomplished full-time Urgent Care Physician (IM/FM) to join our team in Peekskill, NY. The Primary Care Physician is responsible for managing a diverse patient panel with multiple co-morbidities in a busy Federally Qualified Health Center. Care is delivered in collaboration with advance practice providers, on-site support staff, with an emphasis on preventative health and quality patient care.

Essential duties and responsibilities for a Primary Care Physician:

* Participate in in planning and developing health care services, treatment of conditions and illnesses within scope.

* Diagnose and provide treatment plans for patients.

* Collaborate and supervise advanced provider clinicians.

* Complete and participate in chart review process.

* Referral and follow-up of patients when needed.

* Collaborate with other members of the Health Center in order to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction.

* Clinical Supervision:
Overseeing the clinical work of students or new providers, ensuring they adhere to best practices and organizational standards.

* Mentorship and Guidance:
Providing mentorship and guidance to students or new providers, helping them develop their clinical skills and professional behavior.

* Educational Support:
Facilitating educational sessions, workshops or seminars to enhance the learning experience of the mentees.

* Performance Evaluation:
Assessing the performance of students or new providers, providing constructive feedback and documenting their progress.

* Patient Care:
Ensuring high-quality patient care is maintained while supervising and mentoring students or new providers.

* Collaboration:

Working closely with academic institutions and other healthcare professionals to coordinate the educational activities and ensure a comprehensive learning experience.

Requirements:

* Doctorate Degree (MD, DO)

* Active/Valid license as a MD or DO in New York State, DEA, Board certification

* Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

* Experience in HIV care and MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) (preferred)

* Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient population in community health setting.
