Cost Control Supervisor

About the role Yuni Bersaudara Sejahtera is seeking a Cost Control Supervisor to join our accounting team in Pekanbaru, Riau. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining financial integrity and optimising cost management across our operations. As Cost Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing cost control activities, analysing expenditure patterns, and implementing strategies to ensure efficient use of company resources.

This position is crucial to our financial planning and operational success.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and analyse cost expenditures across all departments to identify variances and budgetary discrepancies

Prepare detailed cost reports and variance analysis for management review and strategic decision-making

Supervise and coordinate the work of cost accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all cost-related documentation

Develop and implement cost control policies and procedures to optimise operational efficiency

Review and reconcile cost allocations, departmental budgets, and expense reports

Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects and operational initiatives

Identify areas for cost reduction and present recommendations to senior management

Maintain detailed records of all cost control activities and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Liaise with department heads to ensure budgets are adhered to and cost targets are met

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts based on historical cost data and operational projections

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in cost accounting or cost control roles

Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, methodologies, and industry best practices

Proven experience with cost analysis, variance analysis, and budgetary control

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is advantageous

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Strong supervisory and team management capabilities

Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders

Demonstrated ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

Knowledge of cost control systems and internal audit requirements

Fluency in Indonesian and English is preferred
