Resident Engineer

Valmet's Flow Control business line is a global leader in flow control solutions and services. As a Resident Engineer you will lead and manage a Service Execution Team of contractors, oversee service execution jobs, develop vendor relationships, and ensure adherence to quality, timeliness, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

• Lead a Service Execution Team consisting of contractors.
• Manage and supervise assigned Service Execution jobs.
• Develop and manage a network of vendors to support Service Execution.
• Ensure Service Execution jobs are managed professionally to meet quality standards, timeliness, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
• Adhere to FC Services’ processes and procedures including Service Data‑Base, Approval Grid, and localized Service Deliverables (Service Report).
• Maintain Service Resource Utilization Rate at the prescribed level.
• Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of service records.
• Render support to pre‑service‑sales activities such as costing, sourcing, technical clarifications, quotation support, and customer meetings.
• Provide timely monthly/quarterly reports to the Area Service Manager.
• Ensure compliance with Valmet’s HSE Policy and ISO QMS Policy.
• Log Service‑Gap cases for Service Portfolio development.
• Perform service work including in‑house services, installation, commissioning, and start‑up profitably and with high quality.
• Provide application engineering, quotations, and perform service sales.
• Support inquiry‑to‑order process.
• Provide job cost estimation for service quotations.
• Review work scope and schedule, and develop detailed cost estimates.

• Good proficiency in English and Indonesian languages.
• Ability to work under pressure in difficult customer situations and in different cultural environments.
• General knowledge of customer processes and applications.
• Decision‑making skills with the ability to make financially impactful decisions that can affect customer relationships.
• Project management skills desirable.
