Senior Piping Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Piping Engineer to join our engineering team in Pekanbaru, Riau
. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of complex piping systems and infrastructure projects. As a Senior Piping Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and strategic direction in all aspects of piping engineering, ensuring projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our engineering solutions and supporting the professional development of our team members.

Design and develop detailed piping systems and layouts for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects

Conduct comprehensive technical assessments and feasibility studies for piping installations and modifications

Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using industry-standard software and methodologies

Oversee the selection and specification of materials, components, and equipment for piping systems

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers to ensure integrated project delivery

Perform calculations and analysis to ensure piping systems meet pressure, flow, and safety requirements

Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks during installation and construction phases

Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineering staff and support their professional development

Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements throughout all project phases

Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for project stakeholders and clients

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

Minimum 8 years of professional experience in piping engineering and design

Demonstrated expertise in piping system design, analysis, and installation practices

Strong proficiency with engineering design software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools

In-depth knowledge of piping codes, standards, and regulations relevant to industrial and infrastructure projects

Excellent understanding of pressure vessel design, material selection, and corrosion mitigation

Proven ability to manage complex technical projects and deliver results on schedule

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

Experience mentoring and supervising junior engineers

Professional certification or registration as an engineer (preferred)

Project management experience and familiarity with project planning tools
