Candlelight candles concerts are a unique musical and sensory experience created by candlelight ambience, highlighting talent from emerging artists to professionals. Candlelight is expanding beyond classical music into genres such as jazz, soul, flamenco, opera, and more. We are seeking on-site Event Managers to join Fever Originals’ flagship experience, Candlelight. This position is freelance with flexible hours varying month to month, which may lead to other Fever Originals event work or permanent opportunities in the future.
Rolesand responsibilities
- Follow instructions provided by the manager to deliver events
- Manage and adhere to scheduled event timings
- Implement new or amended production details, company policies and procedures
- Artist liaison
- Report and provide feedback to managers
- Production management
- Handle on-site logistical issues
- Manage vocal microphone channels and auxiliary sound distribution
- Direct soundcheck
- Manage all vendors
- Brief and liaise with venue
- Direct, manage, support and brief the team
- Host event
- Main point of contact for the event
- Handle customer queries and complaints
- Ensure high-quality execution of the event
- Prepare event reports and incident report forms
- Manage unforeseen circumstances and emergencies
- Provide photographs and feedback after each event to the manager
- Encourage high performance and drive improvements with the team
- 2+ years event management experience (preferred)
- Keen interest and passion in live music and delivering events (preferred)
- Sound engineering skills (desirable)
- Public speaking (desirable)
- Exceptional customer service (required)
- Highly competent in team/people management (required)
- Assertive and measured in a high-pressure environment (required)
- Strong problem solving skills (required)
- Can-do attitude (required)
- Flexible (required)
- Leading by example (required)
- Works well under pressure (required)
