Fiber R&D Acacia Silviculture Senior Researcher

Responsibilities

• Lead and align APMI research program to implement the goals of the company, in accordance with R&D Department strategic focus.
• Review and report progress of APMI research
• Prepare and control annual budget for APMI Program (Ops and CAPEX)
• Present research results and recommendation to Program Head and R&D Head related to acacia silviculture
• Bridge with operations for implementation of research
• Ensure proper implementation of APMI program strategic focus
• Continuously conduct field visit and check to ensure high quality trials establishment, measurement, and maintenance
• Consolidate, summarize and update APMI research information in written reports for scientific review and to back up management decision
• Review all current Acacia silviculture SOP and update when needed or required
• Development of specific silviculture practice for acacia crassicarpa sustainable production in peat environment
• Keep good contacts with Forestry scientific community, domestic and international, to improve company's image, and to be updated with forestry research
• Ensure the safety of staffs and assets all the time and impose NOSA culture
• Review and lead team to make good trial design, data analysis and interpretation and presentations to all levels
• Regularly, in a structured manner, mentor and coach his/her subordinate researchers for their future improvement and succession
• Support Program Head & R&D Head to recruit and retain talents for critical APMI positions
• Ensure the implementation of IDP, ACT and promotion proposals as well as 3T (training, transfer, terminate)
• Review Mid-year and Year end appraisals from all Askeps and Assistants before going to Program Head or R&D Head
• Uphold and over-see the implementation of disciplinary corrective actions to all employees in his/her Program
