Position: CNC Machine Tool Field Service Technician / Engineer
Shift: Day Shift (8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday)
Compensation: $35–$55 per hour
Travel: Some travel is required

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Tool Field Service Technician / Engineer to provide expert technical support, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced equipment and systems at customer sites. This specialized field role demands a high level of technical proficiency, independence, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

The ideal candidate will possess strong problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to manage complex technical challenges with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include ensuring proper installation, calibration, and ongoing maintenance of CNC machines and related equipment while working closely with customers to ensure performance meets industry standards and specific client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of CNC machine tools and associated systems at customer locations
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
  • Provide technical guidance and training to customers on equipment usage and maintenance
  • Maintain detailed service records and documentation in accordance with company standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
  • Travel as required to support customer needs and service demands
Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CNC machine tool service/repair role.
  • Expert-level knowledge in installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing complex systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong customer-facing skills, focusing on delivering high-quality service and building client relationships.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, precision measurements, in-depth troubleshooting, and hands‑on repair.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and customer interaction.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to customer sites, occasionally for overnight or multiple-day assignments.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with specialized equipment or technologies relevant to industrial CNC machine tool repair.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior field service personnel.
  • Experience in high-level troubleshooting, including remote diagnostics and advanced problem-solving techniques.
Technology Requirements
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot specialized tools and test equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites.
