Relationship Banker I
Location: Pelham, Alabama (2964 Pelham Pkwy Branch)
We are hiring a Relationship Banker I to provide an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and over the phone, helping customers with transactions and financial wellness. This role is ideal for individuals with prior teller, retail sales, or limited banking experience who are eager to grow within the organization.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line, handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller transactions.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services and fulfil basic servicing requests such as new/replacement cards, information changes, PIN resets, reordering checks, and basic problem resolution.
- Develop relationships with customers, keeping informed about the customer’s relationship with the bank.
- Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
- Assist branch and fellow team members with basic tasks to aid in customer problem resolution.
- Conduct outbound phone calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists to educate customers on emerging technology and assist with meeting their financial needs.
- Refer customers to an internal team of experts for more complex financial goals and needs.
- Follow all bank processes, procedures, and regulations, including completing duties delegated by the Branch Manager and ensuring sound banking practices, risk identification, and reporting.
- Achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance about Regions’ solutions.
Time tracking is required for hours worked in excess of 40 per week and the position is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
- Cash handling and transaction processing ability.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Regular computer use, including typing and sustained monitor attention.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
- One (1) year of banking, cash‑handling, and/or customer service experience.
- Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Assistance with digital banking offerings.
- Handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Oversight of large sums of cash.
- Strong customer focus and relationship‑building skills.

CompensationPay ranges vary by location and experience. Target: $39,601
, Median: $46,880
. The role includes an incentive plan based on performance metrics.
