Senior Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Overview

Walmart is hiring a General Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all commercial equipment at Walmart stores.

• Diagnose and repair equipment, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and food equipment.
• Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules; complete all PMs within the required time frame.
• Conduct training for Store Associates on caring for and cleaning equipment.
• Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
• Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
• Manage work orders and maintenance schedules, providing required written and electronic information (e.g., expense vouchers, weekly summaries, maintenance logs).

• 5 years of maintenance experience.
• Valid state‑issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• At least 1 year of experience with intermediate-level word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Vocational or technical certification in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment or related trade, or 5–7 years of related experience.
• Eligibility for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

• Previous experience in maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, or food equipment.
• Strong customer service orientation and clear, respectful communication.

• Adaptability to changing demands and solid judgment for prioritization.
• Commitment to servant leadership and teamwork.

Base pay range: $21.00/hr – $40.00/hr actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
