* Job Description:
** - Collaborate with a dynamic health care team to provide evidence-based nursing care.
- Demonstrate accountability and respect towards patients, families, and coworkers.
- Ensure safe and optimal patient outcomes through effective communication.
- Promote continuity of care by engaging with the interdisciplinary team and families as appropriate.
- Direct support staff in delivering high-quality care.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to perform general nursing duties with minimal supervision.
- Work with diverse age-specific populations in various settings.
** Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** - Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
- Current Registration and Licensure in the State of Iowa as an RN in good standing.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required (certify within three months of hire).
- Current ACLS certification (to be obtained per guidelines for new employees).
- Preferred nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- High degree of empathetic listening skills, tact, and kindness towards others.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Basic computer knowledge for patient care documentation.
- Technical and critical thinking skills related to sound nursing judgment.
- Knowledge of nursing practices in the acute care environment.
** Shift Information:** - Friday to Sunday, 7 PM to 7 AM
