Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN with an active IA or compact RN license and BLS certification for night shifts.
Responsibilities- Position is in a Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from Friday to Sunday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- 12-week contract assignment
- Collaborate with the health care team to provide evidence-based care for labor and delivery patients
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking and nursing judgment skills
- Effective communication with interdisciplinary team members and patient's families
- Direct support staff to ensure optimal patient care
- Work with age-specific patient populations as appropriate for the setting
- Teamwork, empathy, and professionalism are essential
- Active IA or compact RN license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification or willingness to obtain per facility guidelines
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer proficiency
- Nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred
