Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

• Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
• Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures. Troubleshoots and reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures. Analyzes images and identifies issues with image quality. Takes action to resolve issues, including repositioning and repeating procedures if clinically appropriate.

• Accredited Program:
  Radiology (Required)
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• BLS Certification - American Heart Association
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) - State of Florida

Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision. No previous CT experience required; 1 year of radiology technologist experience preferred. Must be registered as a Technologist (RT) by ARRT and in CT by ARRT within 1 year of hire. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
