Location: Pembroke Dock
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our commercial team, working across a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential construction projects. This role combines full commercial management responsibilities with estimating duties at tender and pre‑construction stages, supporting projects from initial cost planning through to final account.
Key Responsibilities - Quantity Surveying- Manage commercial aspects of multiple commercial and residential projects
- Prepare budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
- Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, including tender enquiries and analysis
- Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, and payments
- Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts
- Manage variations, change control, and cost reporting
- Provide accurate monthly cost value reconciliation (CVR) reports
- Liaise with site teams, clients, consultants, and senior management
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and residential tenders
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and employer's requirements
- Carry out take-offs and pricing using supply chain and historical data
- Prepare tender submissions, pricing documents, and value engineering proposals
- Attend pre‑tender and post‑tender meetings
- Assist with handover from estimating to delivery teams
- Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Proven experience working on both commercial and residential schemes
- Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing
- Ability to manage projects from tender stage through to final account
- Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Excel and estimating / commercial software
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
